UNESCO grants Grasse (FR) a Perfumery World Heritage Status
As exclusive agents in Spain of Matières Premières Essentielles (“M.P.E.”), producers and importers of essential oils, it is an honor to be part and contribute to the expansion of these crucial ingredients for the perfume sector in Spain.
Grasse (FR) has recently been awarded the WORLD Heritage Status by UNESCO for its tradition and contribution to the perfume sector. This award recognizes their effort to preserve cultivation of aromatic plants, knowledge and processing of raw materials and the art of perfume composition.
With this announcement Grasse joins the organization’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list. The list issued by UNESCO aims to recognize the world’s most precious traditions. Anyone who has been to Grasse knows the value and the enormous importance of the perfume sector in the village. From raw material process companies to many French luxury houses, Grasse is full of scents that reaches worldwide consumers of fine fragrance products.
